Hello and Welcome!!
Who is ready for Thanksgiving? I am so ready. This year I will be making the entire meal myself.I am excited but nervous.I have never cooked a turkey before, but I have made the rest.I still feel I need to do just a little more research on a few things and then I will be set.I will be preparing everything sometime tomorrow.Pray for me. LOL
Anyhow,I have something more exciting to show you.Get ready for this.....ready?It's the 2014 Community Collection by Literary Lacquers. What is awesome about this collection is that Amy selected 8 people to design a polish of their choice and name it.The polishes are based or inspired by their favorite books.I was one of the lucky ones that Amy asked and I was absolutely stoked!! What a honor and I of course accepted,I would be crazy not to.Amy's creations are always so flawless and the formula is perfection in a bottle. If you have tried out her blends I'm sure you agree. This collection launches November 28th at Noon MST. Literary Lacquers is also offering a limited edition gift with purchase from November 28th through December 7th. If your purchase is $24 you will receive a mini of the LE,if your purchase is $48 you will receive a full size of the LE.With an $80 purchase using code BLACKFRIDAY2014 you will receive free shipping on US purchases or code INTERNATIONAL2014 for $5 off international shipping.
Now lets take a look at this amazing collection shall we?
Fallen Tributes designed my me:
(4Boys 1Mom Lacquer)
^^(Shot using flash)^^
^^(Shot in direct sunlight)^^
Description:
Fallen Tributes is described as a indigo blue linear holo packed with cooper shimmer and golden flakies.
Application:
I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat. The formula is perfection! It applied smoothly with no issues.
Inspiration:
This polish is inspired by The Hunger Games.I wanted my polish to represent that dome shaped electric sky and of course the fallen tributes. Every time they heard the cannon go off that meant another tribute had died.So when everyone would look up at that vortex they call a sky and see the faces of everyone that had passed, you not only see the faces but you see specks of copper looking shimmer pixels throughout the sky. Then the sky goes back to normal.Looking up at that sky can be somewhat peaceful at times but one can't forget it's a reminder of death. The sky was the only way for them to keep track of who died and who did not.I hope that makes sense I'm running low on caffeine and it's been a long week. LOL
