The Beauty Quartet Box-Treat Yo Self-February 2015

Hello and Welcome!!

Well New Years is sneaking up on us fairly quickly. Do you have any special plans? I know some of you could possibly get engaged!!! I really don't know,it's just a possibility.I'm just spiting words.That would be amazing though.I would love to get engaged on New Years.Most of you may think I am married.I am not,but I am by common law.I have been with my man for 14 years and no marriage yet.Hopefully we will take that step soon.It's a looong story why we are not....you know,married!I know it will happen one day.

Anyway let's talk polish!!!! This that I am sharing with you today is the Beauty Quartet Box for February.The theme is called Treat Yo Self.This box will contain polish from Philly Loves Lacquer,Smokey Mountain Lacquers,Digital Nails and the quest indie,Love,Angeline Polish.Sadly Northern Star Polish was involved in this box but had to leave due to time constraints.So bi-monthly there will be a new brand involved.Yes this box is a bi-monthly box which means every two months there will be a newly released Beauty Quartet Box.About the theme....Treat Yo Self.If you watch Parks and Recreation,you will immediately understand the reference. If you don't here's a helpful link....Click Here.Basically, the idea of treating oneself to a day of pampering and luxury is the epitome of the term "treat yo self". So we wanted this box to encompass that. 

The nail polish lineup for the February box is as follows:

• "The Best Day of the Year" by Philly Loves Lacquer - a dark fuchsia crelly filled with pink, dark pink, magenta, and red glitters of various shapes and sizes.
• "Pleasure in Your Base" by Smokey Mountain Lacquers - a bright blue creme with a foil-y finish.
• "Chocolate Waterfall" by Digital Nails - a dark brown jelly with gold, silver, and copper micro holo glitter.
• "Emeralds Are a Girl's Best Friend" by Love, Angeline - an emerald green holo with green flakies and green shimmer

The extra additions include: 

• "Annberry Sauce" Scrubby Schmear Lip Scrub by Philly Loves Lacquer - a sugared strawberry flavored moisturizing lip scrub
• Rose-Scented Body Whip by Smokey Mountain Lacquers - an extremely moisturizing whipped body lotion with a rosey scent.
• Improver Remover by Digital Nails - conditioning nail polish remover scented like Cocoa Puffs.
• Stuck on Love Nail Shields by Love, Angeline - tiny heart-shaped nail vinyls

The Best Day Of The Year by Philly Loves Lacquer

Description:

The Best Day Of The Year is described as a dark fuchsia crelly filled with pink, dark pink, magenta, and red glitters of various shapes and sizes.

Application:

I applied 2 coats followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

This is a very beautiful polish!! I love the color and combinations of glitters.No fishing for glitter was needed.This applied nicely with no issues.

Philly Loves Lacquers Extra:Annberry Sauce Lip Scrub

This photo above is Philly Loves Lacquers extra. It's a sugared strawberry flavored moisturizing lip scrub.How to use...Just pull that nifty tab right off,then rub your finger around in a circular direction.Then apply the product to your lips.You can either lick it off like I do or......gently wipe it off with a wash cloth.

Chocolate Waterfall by Digital Nails

Description:

Chocolate Waterfall is described as a dark brown jelly with gold, silver, and copper micro holo glitter.

Application:

I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

This is a fantabulous blend!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! The formula is slightly thick making this polish a one coater.I used 2 coats just because I felt like it. LOL No issues to report. This polish is so sparkly.If brown is not your color...it is now!!

Digital Nails Extra: Remover Improver

This photo above is Digital Nails extra. It's a remover improver that conditions nail polish remover and it's scented like Cocoa Puffs.!! Something fresh and new to the indie market. I'm sorry but this product is kick-ass!!!!The product comes in a glass vial.This is not nail polish remover.It's actually ingredients you add to remover that will soften you skin leaving it feeling moisturized and smelling amazing. It is water,glycerine,jojoba oil,almond oil and cocoa puffs fragrance. What I did was I got a mason jar,poured 8oz of acetone in it.Then grabbed my Digital Nails Remover Improver and poured the entire vile into my mason jar and shook it up really good.You will need a larger container if you will be mixing 8oz.Mine ended up being 1 1/3 cups instead of 8oz/1cup.

My first thought was that since this product did separate in the vial before mixing with acetone,it would separate in the acetone as well. WRONG: The product did not separate at all once it was shook up and mixed into the acetone. I let the jar of acetone sit for 16 hours and there was no separation at ALL! As for the scent....Have you ever opened a box of Cocoa Puffs cereal? Well it smells just like that. Yummy right? The scent is not strong or overwhelming. It's actually a pleasant sweet smell.

Emeralds are a Girls Best Friend by Love,Angeline Polish

Description:

Emeralds are a Girls Best Friend is described as a emerald green holo with green flakies and green shimmer.

Application:

I applied 2 light coats followed by a fast drying top coat.

My Opinion:

I'm adoring this polish so much!It is such a fun and pretty color. Love,Angeline creates some beautiful blends.This polish is thick and that's why it is a one coater. I used 2 just because ..but 1 coat is enough to get that opaque finish you want.No issues to report.

Stuck on Love Nail Shields by Love, Angeline 

Love,Angeline Polish's extra is a sheet of 10 heart shaped nail shields.When I peeled off the shields,the hearts came up with the shields as well. I did have to get tweezers and pull off all of the hearts one by one which made it very time consuming.The shield did stick to my nail really well. Unfortunately when pulling the shield off of my nail it did smear the hearts a little. Oh well I need practice.

Pleasure In Your Base by Smokey Mountain Lacquers

Description:

Pleasure In Your Base is described as a bright blue creme with a foil-y finish.

Application:

I applied 2 light coats followed by a fast drying top coat.

My Opinion:

The formula is perfection. Not to thin or to thick.This blue is the most radiant shade of blue in my collection.It's really pretty.

Rose-Scented Body Whip by Smokey Mountain Lacquers

Southern Fancies Rose Scented Body Whip is an extra by Smokey Mountain Lacquers.This lotion is very moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. No greasy or dry feeling after application. It had a faint rose fragrance that does not overwhelm the senses. I really love it and I know you will too.

This is a white crelly polish packed with matte orange,yellow and baby blue hex glitters in various sizes.

I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.

'Jasmine Tea'

This is a beautiful white crelly polish packed with purple,grey,blue and pink matte hex glitters in various sizes.

I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.This blend is my favorite out of all of the crellies in this collection.I'm just loving everything about it.

'Cupcakes & Tea Cups'

This is a white crelly polish with pink and yellow matte hex glitters.

I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.

'Blueberry Scones'

This is a white crelly polish with grey,aqua and light blue hex glitters.

I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.

'Lavender Petals'

This is a lovely lavender purple cream holo with micro flakes.

I applied 2 light coats and a top coat. This color is hands down stunning!! I love the subtle sparkle it's so pretty!

'Playing with Pearls'

This is a nudey,coral pink cream polish with gold holo dust and rainbow flakies.

I applied 2 light coats and a top coat.

'Turquoise Chemise'

This is a creamy turquoise polish with aqua and purple shimmer.

I applied 2 light coats and top coat.This color is another one of my favorites in this collection.

'Ruffles,Lace,and High Heels'

This is a stunning brown polish with brown flakes and gold holo dust.

I applied 2 light coats and a top coat.I LOVE LOVE LOVE this polish.The gold holo dust is what makes this polish pop,it's just the most perfect combo.

This collection has something for everyone one. This is a clear base glitter topper with a mixture of shapes and a rainbow of matte glitters.

I applied 1 coat of Rainbow Baby over 1 coat of Julep/Shelia and a glitter topper.

I really like the colors and mixture of glitter in this topper.This will literally look beautiful over any color!

Love,Angeline Polish/The Land Without Feelings

Hello & Welcome!!

Today I have a new collection made by Love,Angeline Polish.This collection is called "The Land Without Feelings".This collection releases tomorrow,May 21 at 10am MDT.This collection is packed with glitter and inspired by the most adorable Care Bears. Back in the day everyone had a Care Bear,you were not cool if you didn't have one. Of course that was when I was 2-9 years old but everyone knows we are still obsessed with those cute colorful,cuddly bears.I really wish I still had mine,I had quite the collection.

The names of the polishes in this collection are based on the bear's names  with a twist.

"Naive Dreamer"

This polish was inspired by Wish Bear.

This is a glitter topper with aqua,grey,black and silver holo glitter.

I applied 1 coat of Naive Dreamer over 2 coats of SinfulColors/Sugar Rush and applied a top coat.

"No Need To Be Greedy"

This polish was inspired by Share Bear.

This is a glitter topper with  matte black,purple,grey and silver holo glitter.

I applied 1 coat of No Need To Be Greedy over 2 coats of SinfulColors/Sweet Tooth and a top coat.

"Take That Cheer and Shove It"

This polish was inspired by Cheer Bear.

This is a glitter topper packed with matte black,pink,grey and silver holo glitter.

I applied 1 Coat of Take That Cheer and Shove It over 2 coats of SinfulColors/Cotton Candy and applied a top coat.

"Nobody Likes a Klutz"

This polish is inspired by Oopsy Bear.

This is a glitter topper packed with matte green,black,grey and silver holo glitter.

I applied 1 coat of Nobody Likes a Klutz over 2 coats of SinfulColors/Song of Summer and top off with a top coat.

"Sunny Side Down"

This polish is inspired by Funshine Bear.

This is glitter topper with matte yellow,black,grey and silver holo glitter.

I applied 1 coat of Sunny Side Down over 2 coats of SinfulColors/Unicorn and I applied a top coat.

For some weird reason my collage with the Funshine Bear is faded.I didn't do anything different to it. Oh well I just thought that was so weird,It's just seriously bugging me.

On the plus side this collection is so fun and brings back memories from when I was a little girl. I will be forever attached to this collection.
