Black Dahlia Lacquer's Capital Collection

Hello and Welcome!!

Independent nail polish company Black Dahlia Lacquer has announced the debut of a 10-piece Austin-inspired collection, debuting November 27. Black Dahlia Lacquer also will unroll a holiday trio and re-release a polish previously only available as a pre-order gift on December 5th.Half of the polishes included in the Capital Collection were inspired by a partnership with Beauty Box 5. Black Dahlia Lacquer provided hundreds of bottle of polish to Beauty Box 5 for a special edition box that featured Austin-based companies.The 10-piece collection features crellies, shimmers and holos.

90 In November


Description:
90 In November is described as violet chrome base with color shifting shimmer.
Application:
I applied 1 easy coat followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
This has got to be the most sexy purple that I have put on my fingers this year!!It's absolutely perfect in every way.Just look at it! First off it's a one coater,Second,the polish has a very smooth formula with no drying or staining issues.3rd,That shimmer and color is just jaw dropping gorgeous.It is one of my favorites in this collection.

My Butter Half


Description:
My Butter Half is described as a light buttery yellow with added shimmer and micro glitter.
Application:
I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
I think this yellow shade is very pretty.I'm not a yellow polish kind of gal,but I made an exception for this one.It applied smoothly with no issues.

Blue Bonnet Bingo



Description:
Blue Bonnet Bingo is described as a bright blue crelly with purple shimmer.
Application:
I applied 2 easy coats followed by a top coat.
My Opinion:
Bright blue crelly is right!This is a stunner!I am totally feeling this shade.It applied onto my nails smoothly with no issues to report.This is another one of my favs in this collection.

Congress Avenue Bats

Description:
Congress Avenue Bats is described as light army green with the appearance of a scattered holo finish.
Application:
I applied 2 easy coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
I don't know....I feel this polish leans more grey with a strong green shimmer.It's still a beautiful nail polish and the formula is perfection.

SXSW Fever


Description:
SXSW Fever is described as a dark teal with green shimmer and blue flakies.
Application:
I applied 2 easy coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
This is a stunning shade.I love the color teal,especially this one which has lots of shimmer.I'm am LOVING these shimmer shades,they are so pretty and perfect!The formula is amazing and no issues to report.

Austin City Limits

Description:
Austin City Limits is described as a pale periwinkle purple linear holo with blue glass flecks,gold shimmer and gold micro glitter.
Application: 
I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
GASP!!! Just look at that gold!!!Look at it! Isn't this shade perfection? This shade usually is not one I would choose to wear BUT holy moly,it's sooooo lovely!It applied nicely with no issues to report.

Capital Rose Garden

Description:
Capital Rose Garden is described as a coral pink with color shifting shimmer and the appearance of a scattered holo.
Application:
I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.(This polish is opaque using 1 coat)
My Opinion:
I love this shade and polish.I think it's the most perfect color and I have been waiting for a polish just like this.It's an amazing color and I want 10 of them!It applied nicely with no issues.

Barton Springs Babe


Description:
Barton Springs Babe is described as a aqua green polish with blue flakies and shimmer.
Application:
I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
This is a beautiful nail polish that applied smoothly.I like how the blue flakies pop out of this color.No issues to report.

Woke Up on 6th Street



Description:
Woke Up on 6th Street is described as a full coverage multi-denominational silver glitter polish with strong accents of gold,hints of  aqua and navy glitters.
Application: 
I applied 2 coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
This is a very chunky glitter but beautiful.I recommend applying really light coats.

Lady Bird Lake

Description:
Lady Bird Lake is described as a navy blue linear holo with gold shimmer and gold glass flecks.
Application:
I applied 1 light coat followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
I was super happy when I found out this was a one coater.It is such a stunning polish,now it's going to last me that much longer.No staining or any other issues to report.

Literary lacquers Catherine & Heathcliff Gloss48 Duo

Hello and Welcome!!

Description:
Catherine is described as raisin purple holo with subtle flashes of shimmery flakes and darker microflakes.
Application:
I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
This shade is absolutely FAB!It sparkles so beautifully and applied perfectly.The consistency of this polish will make you fall in love with it even quicker.No staining or drying issues to report.

Heathcliff

Description:
Heathcliff is described as a medium blue that flashes of blue from the flakes and it also contains darker microflakes that are also found in Catherine.
Application:
I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.
My Opinion:
What can I say,I am obsessed with blues in general.That seems to be my favorite shade at the moment.This is a very beautiful shade and I really like how the blue flakes just pop.It applied perfectly with no issues.

Spellbound Nails Bully Bash inspired Collection

Hello and Welcome!!

Today I have three lacquers that were custom created by Spellbound Nails for the silent auction of this year's Bully Bash,hosted by the Chicago English Bulldog Rescue.The Bully Bash is scheduled for October 4th at 11am-6pm. All Proceeds from the Bully Bash auction will benefit CEBR.
This year you will not have to attend the Bully Bash to bid on the silent auction items.You'll be able to see a full catalog of items available in advance and bid against attendees during the Bash online.Here is the link if you would like to check it out.$2 of every bottle of these polishes sold by Spellbound Nails will be donated directly to the Chicago English Bulldog Rescue.Lets take a look at these lacquers below.

'Bully for You'
This is a lime green jelly polish with red shimmer and iridescent flakies.
I applied 3 coats and a top coat.This polish is very sheer but on a good note I can totally see a pond mani happening with this beauty.

'#1 Fan'
This is a navy blue polish with blue shimmer.
I applied 2 light coats and a top coat.This polish has a great formula and I am obsessed with the shade of this blue.

'Da Bears'
This is a clear base glitter topper packed with orange and white hex glitters.
I applied 1 coat of Da Bears over 2 coats of #1 Fan and added a top coat.A very beautiful combination.The dark blue really makes that glitter pop!

Daphine Polish's Just Desserts Collection

Hello and Welcome!!

Today I have a stunning collection called Just Desserts by Daphine Polish.This collection is all holos and will be available for purchase July 18th in Daphine Polish's shop.This collection is inspired by all sorts of delicious desserts.I guarantee you will want something sweet at the end of this post. Ha!
The full size polishes will be available to purchase for $10 each and the mini's will be $4 each.
Lets take a look below at these stunning shades below.


'Peach Cobbler'
This is a peachy orange holo with a red shift.
This shade applied sheer so I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.This applied perfectly with no drying issues.
'Blackberry Jam'
This is purple holo with a strong blue shift.
I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.Top coat is not needed,I just applied top coat to get a faster dry time.Every shade in this collection has a natural glossy finish.
'Green Apple Tart'
This is a bright green holo with a gold shift and microflakies.
I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.
This polish is inspired by green apple tarts.I have personally never tasted a green tart but they sure do sound tasty.
'Cherries Jubilee'
This is a stunning deep pink holo with a golden shift.
I applied 2 light coats and a top coat.this is my favorite shade in this collection.It has a bright holo shine.I think this shade would look beautiful on any skin tone.
'Blueberry Pie'
This is a blue holo with a tiny green shift.
I applied 3 light coats and a top coat.The formula was amazing to apply.I didn't have any issues with this collection at all.

This whole collection will be available tomorrow,July 18th.You will have the choice to purchase the mini's for $4 each or the full size polishes for $10 each.
This collection left me a bit hungry for something sweet.I chose to eat a piece of pecan pie since I have none of the above desserts. LOL OHHHHH,This collection is totally missing pecan pie!!!Maybe that will be another collection. A light brown holo with copper flakies or glitter!!!!That would be my version of the Pecan pie holo polish.
