Aurora Lacquers Anniversary Celebration Set

Today I have a fabulous collection made by Aurora Lacquers.The collection is called,Anniversary Celebration Set. This set was made to celebrate their 1 year anniversary. Happy Anniversary Aurora Lacquers!!!!!
In this collection there is 3 very opaque creams and a very sparkly and fun glitter topper.The Anniversary Celebration Set will be launching Friday,February 13th at 4pm EST. Oh and guess what?The creams are perfect for stamping!!That's right,get excited!!!! 

Note:When using the creams for stamping,try moving quickly because the polish does dry fast.

Noir Night

Description:

Noir Night is best described as a jet black cream polish.

Application:

I applied 1 coat of Noir Night on all fingers but my middle finger.On my middle finger I applied 1 coat of Blizzard White and stamped over it using Noir Night and an image from my UberChicbeauty plate 1-02. I topped my nails off with a quick drying top coat.

My Opinion:

I love the fact that this black is a one coater and stamps so perfectly.This polish has a semi-gloss finish.I am going to be using this polish for everything now.It's my new favorite black polish.I think it's the only one I have that can be used for both stamping and painting nails.

Blizzard White

Description:

Blizzard White can be best described as a bright white cream polish.

Application:

I applied 1 coat of Blizzard White on all of my fingers but my middle finger.On my middle finger I applied 1 coat of Noir Night.Then I stamped over it using Blizzard White and used an image from my UberChicbeauty stamping plate 1-02. I topped the mani off with a quick drying top coat.

My Opinion:

How awesome does Blizzard White look stamped over that black?I can't believe how it stamped so opaque.I was expecting the white to be somewhat faded.Most white stamping polishes I have don't stamp to well over dark shades and appear a little on the sheer side.Not this one.I love it!

Shadow

Description:

Shadow can be best described as a light grey creamy polish.

Application:

I applied 1 coat of Shadow on all fingers but the middle finger.On the middle finger I applied 1 coat of Blizzard White and stamped over it with Shadow.I used an image from my UberChicbeauty plate 1-01 and topped off this mani with a quick drying top coat.

My Opinion:

This is the perfect shade of grey.It applied nicely with no issues.

Celebrate!

Description:

Celebrate is a clear base glitter topper with tons of sparkle with a touch of colorful hex and square glitters.

Application:

I applied 1 coat of Celebrate over 1 coat of Noir Night followed by a quick drying top coat.

My Opinion:

This glitter topper is really pretty. It applied perfectly with no issues.I really like how it has a touch of the larger glitters.It's a beautiful and unique topper.

Aurora Lacquers:Sugar Plum Fantasy Collection & The Holiday Ornament Duo

Hello and Welcome!!

Oh MAN has it been a horrible month so far.Many things have happened all at once.One thing that has me extremely sad is my dog Ace passed away Saturday night.He came in the house breathing extremely hard,walked around like he always does and visited with us for a bit before laying down.He had us so worried.He laid down on his blanket and then passed away.It's so hard to write this post as tears are filling my eyes.I just don't know what happened to him.He was not sick,he was running around playing outside and had so much energy Friday.He was only 6 years old. RIP Ace we love you so much!

On a more positive note I have a very beautiful collection by Aurora Lacquers called The Sugar Plum Fantasy.I also have a LE glitter duo to share with you. This collection is now available for purchase.Let's take a look below.

Plum Delight

Description:

Plum Delight is described as a sultry plum ultra holo.

Application:

I applied 2 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

I really love this color,it's absolutely stunning! The formula has the perfect consistency and applied really smooth.No staining or drying issues to report. 

Golden Tiara

Description:

Golden Tiara is described as a holographic gold glitter polish.

Application:

I applied 2 light coats on my middle and ring finger.To show you what it looks like as a topper,I applied 1 coat of Golden Tiara over 1 coat of Zoya Livingston followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

Maybe a 3 coats will give you a full coverage finish.I like how the finish turned out with 2 coats alone.This is an amazing topper to wear during the holidays.

Fairy Princess

Description:

Fairy Princess is described as fun pink and purple glitter polish.

Application:

I applied 3 coats on all fingers but my ring finger.On my ring finger I applied 1 coat of Fairy Princess over 1 coat of Zoya Rooney.A quick dry top coat was applied on all fingers.

My Opinion:

I think Fairy Princess looks flawless as a top coat.I love the matte pink hexed glitter,it's the perfect touch.

Midnight Serenade 

Description:

Midnight Serenade is described as a navy blue glitter polish with a blue base.

Application:

I applied 3 coats of Midnight Serenade on all of my fingers but my ring finger.On my ring finger I applied 1 coat of Midnight Serenade over 1 coat of Zoya Ling.A quick dry top coat was applied on all fingers.

My Opinion:

I like this polish as a top coat and alone.Either way you wear it,it will look beautiful.As for the blue base,I would liked to have seen it a bit darker.It seemed more clear than blue.

Sugar Plum Dreams

Description:

Sugar Plum Dreams is described as a micro glitter polish in a dark plum jelly base.

Application:

I applied 2 coats followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

This is a lovely polish.It applied perfectly with no issues.

Silver Soldiers

Description:

Silver Soldiers is described as a smokey silver ultra holo.

Application:

I applied 2 easy coats followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

Love this polish.It has a beautiful sparkle when in the right lighting.It applied with no issues.

The Snow Fairy

Description:

The Snow Fairy is described as a polish packed with iridescent shifting glitters.

Application: 

I applied 1 coat of The Snow Fairy over 2 coats of Zoya Stacy,followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

Loving this polish! It looks so beautiful over darker shades and lighter shades.The formula is wonderful.No issues to report.

Royal Ballet

Description:

Royal Ballet is described as a golden pink ballet inspired holo glitter.

Application:

I applied 2 light coats on all fingers but my ring finger.On my ring finger I applied 1 coat of Royal Ballet over 1 coat of SinfulColors Sexy Spy.

My Opinion:

I really like this polish as a full coverage finish but I like it even more as a topper.Beautiful color!

Ruby Angel

Description:

Ruby Angel is described as a bright red holo glitter polish.

Application:

I applied 3 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

This polish applied nicely with no issues.Perfect glitter for the holidays.

Evergreen Dream

Description:

Evergreen Dream is described as a Christmas green holo glitter.

Application:

I applied 3 light coats followed by a quick dry top coat.

My Opinion:

This is a beautiful glitter mix.It has a beautiful mixture of green holo glitters.Another polish that's perfect for the holidays.

Daphine Polish:Angels & Demons Collection/Fall 2014

Hello and Welcome!!

Today I have an amazing collection to share with you. This collection of lacquers is called Angels $ Demons by Daphine Polish. This collection consists of 4 holos and 4 glitter polishes.This collection will be available for purchase Friday,10/24.These polishes are duo holo and glitter polishes that represent some of Joanne's favorite angels and demons from television and movies.These polishes can be worn as a set or alone.

Illyria & Angel

Angel

Description:

Angel is described as  gunmetal grey holographic polish.

Inspiration

From Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Angel is a demon but his name is Angel and he IS a good guy so...he goes in the Angel category. Cursed by gypsies, Angel is the only vampire with a soul (at least for a while *wink*) . He spends years tormenting himself and trying to make amends for the the decades he spent killing and torturing humans without remorse. He is often seen hiding in the shadows in black leather coats, making this gunmetal grey holographic polish a perfect companion to his brooding.

Application:

I applied 2 light coats followed by a top coat.

Opinion:

This is my favorite shade of grey,I'm not sure if it fits all skin types but I love how it looks on me.It applied smoothly but I did notice that it took a bit to dry,even with a fast drying top coat.Other than that it was amazing.

Illyria

Description:

Illyria is described as a blue glitter polish packed with many shades of blue glitters in various sizes with added shimmer.

Inspiration:

From the TV show Angel, Illyria is an Old One, one of the most feared ancient demons. Accidentally resurrected by Fred, Illyria inhabits Fred’s body and plans to raise an army she placed in an alternate time plane in order to take over the earth, only to find them all destroyed. Having blue tinted hair and skin, this all blue glitter polish is my homage to Illyria.

Application:

I applied I coat of Illyria over 2 coats of Angel followed by a fast drying top coat.

Opinion:

This glitter is a perfect combo over Angel.It applied perfectly with just one coat.I didn't have any issues with how the glitter laid onto my nails.

Castiel & Crowley

Crowley

Description:

Crowley is described as a  dark blue holographic polish.

Inspiration:

From  the TV show Supernatural, though a demon at heart, Crowley is a businessman through and through. He exists to itemise contracts and to make the Winchester’s lives all that much more difficult. Always impeccably dressed in a suit, this dark blue holographic polish invokes a sharp navy pinstripe that I imagine Crowley would wear.

Application:

I applied 2 easy coat followed by a quick dry top coat.

Opinion:

This is my favorite shade in this collection. I know that they all seem similar but this one has micro blue glitter mixed in.The formula is very smooth with the perfect consistency.I love it!

Castiel:

Description:

Castiel is described as a taupe and black glitter topper has a hint of blood red sparkle.

Inspiration:

From  the TV show Supernatural, the angel Castiel is rarely seen without his signature khaki trench coat. Often spattered in the blood of his enemies, Cas easily maintains the adage that guys in trench coats are bad asses. This taupe and black glitter topper has a hint of blood red sparkle, just like Castiel’s trench coat.

Application:

I applied 1 coat of Castiel over 2 coats of Crowley followed by a top coat.

Opinion:

I love this glitter topper but I would of liked to see it over a lighter color.Don't get me wrong it's beautiful as is but I feel the glitter is a bit hidden,or looks that way.Other than that the glitter alone is perfection,I wouldn't change a thing about it.

The Beast & Weeping Angel

The Beast

Description: 

The Beast is described as a deep blood red holographic polish with gold sparks.

Inspiration:

From the Doctor Who season 2 episodes “The Impossible Planet” and “The Satan Pit”, The Beast is a demon imprisoned in a pit deep inside the planet Krop Tor. Defeated and chained by the Disciples of Light, the Beast has the ability to possess both human and hive minds from afar.  He identifies himself to the Doctor as Satan and claims to have existed before the universe itself. Represented by a deep blood red holographic polish with gold sparks, it is dark and sinister just like the Beast himself.

Application:

I applied 2 easy coats followed by a fast drying top coat.

Opinion:

This is a stunning red.I really love how the gold sparks just pop in regular lighting.This polish does have a natural glossy finish,no top coat is needed.

Weeping Angel

Description: 

Weeping Angel is described as grey and black glitter topper with silver shreds,light and dark grey hexes and squares and silver shimmer.

Inspiration:

Oops I’m not  following my rules again, because the Weeping Angels are only Angels on the outside. Any Whovian worth their salt is terrified of Weeping Angels (at least the “Blink” Weeping Angels...we’re not going to get into the later ones). Resembling life-sizes stone angel statues, Weeping Angels can only move when unobserved by other beings but they can do so silently and very quickly. This grey and black glitter topper only looks like it is made of stone, just like a Weeping Angel.

Application:

I applied 1 coat of Weeping Angel over 2 coats of The Beast followed by a quick dry top coat.

Opinion:

This glitter topper looks amazing over The Beast,it really pops!I didn't have any issues with the formula or application.It applied perfectly and all the glitters laid flat.

Azrael & Metatron

Metatron

Description:

Metatron is described as a dark green holographic polish with gold shimmer.

Inspiration:

An archangel and the voice of god, in the movie Dogma Metatron is sarcastic and world-weary. Appearing to Bethany in a hoodie and sport coat, he proceeds to send her on her journey to stop two fallen angels from returning to heaven. He is represented by a dark green holographic polish with gold shimmer.

Application:

I applied 1 easy coat followed by a quick drying top coat.

Opinion:

This is a very stunning shade of deep green.It seems to have a bit of a grey hue to it or maybe charcoal hue.It has a very beautiful sparkle that's pleasant to look at.This shade is another one of my favorites in this collection.

Azrael

Description:

Azrael is described as a iridescent and white glitter topper with red crystal glitter and a red shimmer,white dots,squares and hexes.

Inspiration:

From the movie Dogma, Azrael is a demon on Earth who is doing all he can to prevent being sent back to Hell. He will do anything to see that his hidden agenda succeeds, and he doesn't mind getting a little bloody to do so, sending the Stygian triplets to do the dirty work so nothing ruins his pristine white suit. This iridescent and white glitter topper has red crystal glitter and a red shimmer, reminding Azrael that even though his suit may not be dirty, there is blood on his hands.

Application:

I applied 1 coat of Azrael over 1 coat of Metatron followed by a fast drying top coat.

Opinion:

This glitter topper is so beautiful.It has an amazing sparkle to it.This topper would be perfect to wear during the holidays.It applied smooth with no glitter issues.
