The Rebecca Collection by Literary Lacquers

Hello and Welcome!!

I have a new collection by Literary Lacquers to share with you. This collection is inspired by Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is a suspenseful novel told in the form of a flashback. This collection is dedicated to Rebecca.
This entire collection is available for purchase today,October 10th for only $35 or $12 individually.
Lets take a look below at this fab collection!!

Rebecca, Always Rebecca

“Rebecca, always Rebecca. Wherever I walked in Manderley, wherever I say, even in my thoughts and in my dreams, I met Rebecca. I knew her figure now, the long slim legs, the small and narrow feet…. I could guess her laughter and her smile. If I heard it, even among a thousand others, I should recognize her voice. Rebecca, always Rebecca. I should never be rid of Rebecca.”
In the novel, our unnamed narrator, a young girl known only to us as The Second Mrs. deWinter becomes obsessed with the supposed perfection of her husbands deceased first wife, Rebecca. She is constantly comparing herself to Rebecca and supposes that everyone that she meets in her new life is also comparing her unfavorably to the accomplished, beautiful and socially connected Rebecca who has been dead for less than a year.

Rebecca, Always Rebecca is an eggplant linear holo with holographic sparkle.
I applied 2 easy coats and a top coat. The formula and color are simply amazing. It applies really smooth with no drying issues. It's a stunning linear with a breathtaking sparkle!

Je Reviens

Je Reviens
The buoy was just opposite, about thirty feet away. There was something written on it. I craned my neck sideways to read the lettering. “Je Reviens.” What a funny name. Not like a boat… “Je Reviens” – “I come back.” Yes, I suppose it was quite a good name for a boat. Only it had not been right for that particular boat which would never come back again.
Rebecca was assumed to have drowned in her little sailboat, Je Reviens, despite being known as an excellent sailor. Je Reviens means I come back or I return, is it ironic that the boat is named such? Has the boat disappeared beneath the water for good or does the name herald future events?

Je Reviens is a deep teal linear holo with holographic sparkle.
I applied 2 light coats and a top coat. This color is one of my favorite colors ever. I think it looks so pretty with my skin tone. This polish has a smooth formula that made it super easy to apply onto my nails.I of course just LOVE that rainbow effect it puts off in the sunlight!!Don't you?

Shadow Between Us

Shadow Between Us
He put his hands over mine and looked into my face. “Rebecca has won,” he said.
I stared at him, my heart beating strangely, my hands suddenly cold beneath his hands.
“Her shadow between us all the time,” he said. “Her dammed shadow keeping us from one another. How could I hold you like this, my darling, my little love, with the fear always in my heart that this would happen? I remembered her eyes as she looked at me before she died. I remembered that slow treacherous smile.”
Has the shadow and specter of Rebecca and her death poisoned the potential for a happy life and marriage for Maxim and his young wife? In Manderley, the ancestral home of the de Winter’s her presence is felt everywhere. Her abandoned bedroom is the best room in the house. Her preferences are still observed. How can our young narrator ever hope to stand on her own in these circumstances?

Shadow Between Us is a smoky grey linear holo with holographic sparkle.
I applied 2 light coats followed by a top coat. This shade is another one of my favorites.Just like the other 2 polishes in this collection,it packs a sparkly punch. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to take this beauty out in the sunlight. The weather has been so unpredictable. One minute it's partly cloudy and then the next it looks like it's going to rain and the clouds eat the sun. This did apply smooth like the others. I didn't have any issues with this polish either.

Again this entire collection is available for purchase today,October 10th for only $35 or $12 individually.
I really love every shade in this collection! What are your thoughts?Which polish do you have to have or do you need the entire collection?

Literary Lacquer's Limited Edition Polish for Alzheimer's

Sir Terry Pratchett Inspires Limited Edition Nail Polish as Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Research UK
October 6, 2014
Sir Terry Pratchett is a literary pioneer. From his first book, The Carpet People in 1971, through his most recent 2014 release, Dragons at Crumbling Castle, Sir Pratchett continuously takes his readers out of their realities and brings them into new, fantastical worlds. His books (including those of Discworld, The Long Earth and everywhere in between) are an escape from the mundane, a thought-provoking journey and a study in foreign lands and experiences. Sir Pratchett's writings include fiction, nonfiction and fantasy for adults, young adults and children. There are several movie and radio adaptations of his works and a Discworld app, in which readers and fans can roam the streets and interact with its patrons. And at age 64, Sir Pratchett continues to delight readers with new works.
Literary Lacquers, founded by Amy Milder in 2012, is an innovative independent nail polish company . Amy's passion for literature, beauty and nail polish drive her creativity and business; all of her polishes are inspired by great literary works, passages and series. Literary lacquer polishes are all 3-free and are packaged and shipped with 100% recyclable materials (https://www.etsy.com/shop/LiteraryLacquer).
In 2007, Sir Pratchett announced to the world that he is living and writing with early onset Alzheimer's, or as he refers to it "The Embuggerance". Instead of ceasing his creativity and publicity, Sir Pratchett became a financial donor and guest blogger on Alzheimer's Research UK (http://www.dementiablog.org, http://www.alzheimersresearchuk.org), and continues to write and interact with fans via social media. Earlier this year marked the first time that Sir Pratchett cancelled a public appearance due to the effects of The Embuggerance.
To honor Sir Pratchett's work and his charity work with Alzheimer's Research UK, Literary Lacquers has designed a limited edition charity polish, Luggage For Your Journey. In the Discworld novels, The Luggage is a recurring character that travels, protects (at times voraciously) and accompanies the wizard Rincewind. The Luggage is otherworldly, and yet becomes integral into the fabric of Discworld. This polish is designed to honor Sir Terry Pratchett's amazing literary career, to thank him for the journey into other realms and to serve as a reminder that there is always a companion for life's many journeys.
The bottles of Luggage For Your Journey will be sold for $12 and $5 from each bottle will be donated to Alzheimer's Research UK. The polish will be sold as a preorder only from October 10, 2014 through October 17, 2014.

Let's take a look at this amazing polish below!!

'Luggage For Your Journey'
This is a stunning caramel brown linear holo with tiny micro glitters.
I applied 2 light coats and a top coat. The polish applied evenly. There was absolutely no clumping of the glitter, the glitter laid perfectly flat onto my nails which I LOVE! I have had holo polishes that were packed with glitter and the finish was so textured that it just looked awkward even with a top coat.I did not feel that way about this formula at all.

I love that this polish was made for a good cause. It is available for preorder only today,October 10th and will be sold until October 17th.It will be sold for $12 and $5 from each bottle will be donated to Alzheimer's Research UK. I literally have to carry them out and set them on the ground. LOL Needless to say, they still used the bathroom on my floor.I tried but failed so out came the carpet cleaner.

'Goodbye to Green'
This is a olive green linear holo, inspired by the green that fades away in the fall/winter.
I applied 1,YES 1 light coat and a top coat. This shade/polish is just to die for. It's such a beautiful shade of green with the perfect amount of sparkle.Did I mention it's a 1 coater? It's perfection!!! The formula, the consistency is just oh so wonderful!!Would I purchase this you ask?Hell Yeah!! It's my favorite polish in this whole collection!!!

'Midnight Lake'
This is a midnight blue linear holo, inspired by the way water looks in the dark Autumn nights.
I applied 2 light coats and a top coat. This polish applied perfectly with no issues with the formula.Another polish that I love and I would definitely purchase this one.

'Don't Fall Berry Girl'
This is a berry colored linear holo, inspired by berries that show up on certain plants in the fall.
