Tweets Polish Review

Hello everyone!! Happy Monday! I would like to share my honest opinion about a polish I have recently tried out. Over the weekend I have been reviewing this new polish that was released in Walmart. It is called Tweets:) .They are only sold in Walmart. Unfortunately they did not sell them in my Walmart so I had ask someone to purchase them for me and I bought them off of her. The polish cost $2.97 a piece. You can go to their website or ask them on Facebook to see if your Walmart carries them. Tweets come in 30 trendy colors. They also have unique names. They are all acronyms you would use in tweets which is very cute. The polish is 6.5 ml.

Tweets IS

  • water based
  • better for you
  • non-toxic
  • made in the USA
  • virtually odor free

with NO

  • Phthalates
  • Parabens
  • Formaldehyde
  • Glutens
  • Toluene
  • DBP
  • Animal Testing
The experience I had trying Tweets out over the weekend for the first time was Ok I guess you could say. A few things I had issues with was that the brush left lines on my nails. It could of been caused by the formula of the polish too. I applied top coat over the top which made the line less noticeable. I do think that the bottles are the cutest and the lids are unique and I like how the lids have ridges to give you some grip when opening the polish. Another issue I had was that the formula had not been mixed properly. I found some particles in the polish that felt sandy and it left a few bumps on my nails. I noticed some discoloration.
For Example:
As you can see there is blue paint in the polish. I could not get it to mix in. This shows me that the formula was poorly prepared and not mixed completely . Beside that I love the colors and the design of the bottles and lid. I don't think I would pay $2.97 I would rather pay .99 cents a piece for them. To me that would be a reasonable price. The finishing look depends on the color of the polish and how you apply it. I bought 3 colors and I posted some pictures below to show you my finishing results. I have to say that it does look decent but its not my favorite.

This polish is called AFFA which means Angels Forever, Forever Angels. I love the color. Its a baby blue shade. I used 2 coats

2 Coats

In this picture you can see the particles I was talking about earlier that was in the hunter green polish.

This color is called ROFL. It is a reddish orange color. It to me looks like a metallic.ROFL means Rolling On The Floor Laughing. I applied 2 coats.

2 Coats

This polish is called YGTBKM which means You've Got To Be Kidding Me. In this picture if you look at my ring finger you can see the bump in the polish. This polish had many of those in the formula. I have no idea what they are. I do like the color.

I use 2 coats

This polish is not for me but you might have a different experience with it. I may of had a bad batch. I dont think I would ever pay $2.97 for it again. Have you tried this polish yet? If so I would love to read about what you thought of it.

You Polish Review

I have recently purchased some cuticle oils and two beautiful polishes from You Polish. The two polishes cost $15 together and the scented cuticle oil only cost $3.50. You can purchase 3 cuticle oils with the scents pineapple, peach and pomegranate for the low cost of $10. The scent I have is the Peach. It smells really good and it does not have have the strong scents that can give you a huge migraine. It has a very pleasant smell .

This lovely color is called  O R U? Its the most beautiful shade of blue. I am a sucker when it comes to blues, purples, greens, or yellows. Mixed in with the blue creamy polish is medium to holo size gold glitter. These are 15ml bottles and I used 3 coats.

This is a very popular polish. It has a pearl tint to it. In no way is it a clear coat glitter. It is called Painting The Roses Red. It has the perfect amount of glitter to give you the look you need on you nails. The colors of the glitter are amazing. There is pink flat colored glitter and shiny metallic pink glitter that shines when the sun hits it. There is also a flat blue colored glitter also with metallic blue glitter. All different sizes of glitter can be found in this special bottle of polish. In this picture I used one coat and it looks perfect.

1 Coat

2 Coats

2 Coats

3 Coats

3 Coats and topped off with top coat

This is the best cuticle oil I have used so far. I did use Juleps cuticle oil but I had found it to just sit on top of my skin and not rub in very well. So I decided to try out You Polishes cuticle oil. First of all it is scented. I tried out the peach. It really does smell good. I noticed when applying this to my fingers that it rubs in very well and does not leave my skin overly shiny. It really does moisturize and will smooth those lines and rough edges around your cuticles. The bottle size is 10ml and is a roll on . The ingrediants are Jojoba Oil, Vitamin A, Calcium, Sassflower Oil, Pineapple Oil, Grapeseed Oil & Sesame Oil.

I do recommend checking out You Polishes store on Esty. She has great polishes and hand and body lotions. Click the links below to be directed to her pages and sites.

Bondi New York Polish Review

Today I am reviewing Bondi New York nail lacquer.  This company is fairly new to the lacquer world. As of right now their collection contains 20 fashion forward colors. They will be launching new collections twice a year as well as occasional limited edition collaborations. Bondi New York is a five free brand meaning we are free of Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, DBP and Toluene.  It is safe to use on your beautiful fingernails which is such a big plus. Another great thing about the company is that 100% of the net profit from the sale of polish is donated to their non profit which makes grants to charitable organizations. I know everyone worries about their polish not lasting and chipping , I know I do it has been an issue with using most of my lacquers. Well Bondi New Yorks nail lacquer is long lasting and is chip resistant especially when you use their 2in1 top coat. Bondi New York sent me a free polish to review and I actually won a polish of my choice in a giveaway they were having. I had the closest guess as to how many polishes they had in 16 boxes. I was so excited to have won and you can too go to their website and enter their giveaways. They have many giveaways on their Facebook page so your chances are really good to winning a polish of your choice . They also had a BOGO sale. They said If you Buy One you Get One free or Buy 2 Get 2 free or Buy 3 Get 3 free. I took advantage of that sale and got the buy one get one. When I got my package in the mail and I opened my box I saw they had given me a code to get $5 off my next purchase. I am in love with this brand to be honest. Their polish is not to think and not to thin. I love their colors that they have out so far and I cant wait till they release a new collection. All bottles are 15ml. and cost $15 a piece. Im just going to stop rambling and show you pics of the stunning colors that I picked out.

For this color I used 2 coats which is the perfect coverage for this color.
Teal Magnolia is the color

I like this color. It is very smooth and creamy. Easy to apply

This color takes 3 coats to get the coverage in this picture.
Brick Road is the name.

This picture has better lighting. Its not my favorite color but if you like to do stamping on your nails I think this would be perfect for that. I think that's what I'm going to use this color for. It will stain so be sure to use a good base coat. Bondi New York has something that is 2in1 called  I'm Vers you can try out.

This is one of my favorites. It took 2 coats to get this coverage. Very pretty . Its perfect for me because I like bright colors. Bright colors I understand are not for every skin tone but I find it to look great on me. Its called The Limelight

Here is another bright color. Its called Chasing the sun. It is a beautiful orange tone.
2 coats to get the coverage in the  picture.

I wanted to add this picture to show you that the lids of the polish do pull off. I dont think its necessary. I will tell you that the lids can get turned to where the lid wont look straight. You have to pull the lid off to fix it to your liking. If you have ever purchased Julep polish their lid do the same thing. The reason for the lid to come off is so you can put a swatch sticker on the lid and you can apply your polish to the sticker so you can see what the actual color of the polish is before applying the polish to your nails. This is about the only thing about the polish I can do without. However I do like the design of the bottle.

I did something a little extra for all of you. I did a water marbling with the colors:
Brick Road
Teal Magnolia
&
Chasing The Sun
